Gameplay
- exit points now heal for the amount remaining when exiting
: instead of punishing being slow, now you are encouraged to be fast
- critrate now halves per each stack applied on the same slot
: allows stacking critrate over 100%
: 120% would always crit once, then 60% of the time twice, 30% thrice etc
- introduced smiterate: smite hits add +1 hit to a slot
- allowing changing starting player and boss characters
- added ability to change between mods on the setup screen
- default map size of 4x4 now sometimes becomes 3x5 or 2x8
Runewords
- replaced used dictionary with the one used by a popular word game
- separated shown foe words from possible render words
- rendering shown words gives better number of options rates
Items
- new set of item types, there are now 12 core rarities and 3 extra rarities
: 6 for positive effects (3 tier 1, 3 tier 2)
: 6 for negative effects (3 tier 1, 3 tier 2)
: 1 for neutral effects
: 1 for unit baseline effects
: 1 for unique effects
- replaced old items with new ones fitting into the new types
: modifiers for: hitrate, critrate, smiterate, HP, max HP (12 of each)
: death: allows reviving on collapsing by deathsweeping
: effect-less rune
- there are now 2 tiers of item types
: tier 1 items stay in the inventory and labeled with 1 rune
: tier 2 items are equipped and labeled with 2 runes
- changed drop rates
: only tier 1 items can drop from foes and the altar
: rendering runewords guaranteed tier 2 item choices
: non-tier 1 items can only be looted through rendering runewords
- number of rendered item choices depends on word rarity
: rare words usually grant less item choices (most likely 2)
: common words usually grant more item choices (most likely 3)
- loot runes no longer duplicate if there are no duplicates in the foe runeword
Interface
- added rune rearranging
- tiles now show the runes they hold
- pointless tiles now have a different pattern
- patched not being able to fully hover on portrait labels
- showing player stats when hovering over the player portrait
- showing player and boss descriptions when hovered on their portraits at the gate screen
- runed items now show their rarity on hover instead of the rune
- hiding specific item runewords from their tooltips
: tooltip runewords implied that those were the only words that could be constructed
: in reality any 5 letter word can be rendered
: rendering item names guarantees the item dropping
Other
- noticeably improved tilemap generation speed
- added many new sound effects
